Kleffmann Group acquires MarketSense

With the acquisition of U.S.-based market research firm MarketSense Inc., Kleffmann Group invests in its North American operations and expands its global market research solutions with special focus on the animal health market.

Kleffmann chief executive officer Burkhard Kleffmann said, "We are looking forward to having the MarketSense team join our group because of the new possibilities the acquisition brings to our company and our clients. The market knowledge of Kleffmann Group, obtained by 25-years of experience through panel and ad hoc research of the global agricultural market, combined with MarketSense's extensive knowledge of animal health is the next milestone in the development of the company and is the first step for further investments in North America."

Based in Des Moines, Iowa, MarketSense was founded in 1997 by David Soorholtz and has grown to be a premier agricultural market research and consulting firm with special focus on the animal health sector. Conducting proprietary market research, as well as marketing and business development, consulting has been the company focus with clients in the agriculture, business-to-business and consumer goods and services sectors.

Soorholtz will become the managing director of the North American operations of the newly named company, KG MARKETSENSE.

"I am excited about the expanded expertise and global reach that the new organization brings," Soorholtz said. "We are well suited to help clients gain the market knowledge needed to move their products, programs and companies forward in all areas of agriculture, including animal health, crop protection, seed and agricultural machinery."

KG MARKETSENSE will continue to operate out of its location in Des Moines, with all members of the MarketSense team staying in place.
